picked by preston

On our weekly web wanderings we stumbled across this sweet new tool. As you know Preston Bailey is our favorite celebrity blogger in part because his commitment to the profession and to his clients. Our favorite new part of his blog is the Color Palette Picker. This tool is sure to be an inspiration for brides and designers alike.  The Palette Picker starts with the user selecting a main color  for the event. It then goes on to ask questions about guest count, locale, and or favorite--what light source will be used at the event--candlelight, sun, moon, or light bulbs. (Really? Who asks that?!) My how clever you are Mr. Preston!

larger-than-life leaves

If you saw these larger-than-life leaves this week--you were one of the lucky few. These leaves fluttered in here--and out just as quickly! These 32” faux leaves make a statement in window displays, outdoor containers (waterproof with a clear sealant), and table tops. Loop the wire and accent with bittersweet tangles and ribbon to create an easy autumn door hanger. At only $4.95 each--you will want to snag yourself some larger-than-life leaves right away!

installation weddings

This post has it all! It’s everything we’ve been raving about since we’ve started our style-ish blog. If you think reception dιcor consists of flowers placed in the center of a table--think again. Gen Y brides are pushing the creative limits when it comes to their wedding dιcor.

Whether it’s a ribbon wall, tissue paper pom poms, or black butterflies scattered about--these days weddings are all about installations. A large eye catching display turns an everyday wedding into a one-of-a-kind event (which can’t be price shopped!). So when your Gen Y bride comes to you with a wild and crazy idea--consider it before shrugging it off. Or better yet--come up with a wild and crazy idea to sell them yourself! Be sure to check out the blog for inspirational pics of some sweet ideas!
