fresh ideas….

rustic chic

We adore these containers for the upcoming holiday seasons! At only 8” tall, and 3 1/2” wide at the opening, they are a perfect container for everyday designs. The antique wash makes them look like a flea market find! We think they would look fab with tucks of grasses and a sprig of seeded eucalyptus for fall, or filled with fragrant evergreens and red berries for the winter. Only $5.10 each! (And we’ll let you in on a little secret--if your order on Friday the 6th you can still get in on our 25% off Supply Week discount! What a deal!)

rave of the week…………………..……………………………

the great wall o’ ribbon

If you haven’t noticed by now, we love to tackle any new crafty project that we find on the latest wedding blog. (Remember the tissue paper pom poms?) Our latest love is stunning backdrops created of colorful hanging ribbons. We think the uses of the look are endless! It’s perfect for an unconventional ceremony backdrop, but would work just as well to set off a cake table (way better than white lattice) or as a fun feature in an area of your store (behind the your counter maybe?). Any number of color and texture combinations would be fun!

Grace Ormonde’s (editor of Grace Ormonde Wedding Style Guide) new book might just be the splurge of the season.

WARNING: This craft does require the use of a few power tools. Depending on where you are hanging the great wall, you may need to plan some type of upright boards to keep it freestanding. Or, if you have a ledge to work with, a simple 2”x 2” board from the hardware store and a staple gun will do the trick!

We also think the great wall o’ ribbon would  make a great rental item. Easily rolled up, sections of your wall can be stashed in your shop until needed.
